Wireless network with upgrade PCs are being supplied to DHI through another capital funding bid. However, main aim of project is to encourage clients to create video podcasts/blogs and audio podcasts of their experiences. The BCE project criteria has been added to this community initiative and will now form part of the community requirement for the BC project.

Plans for a presentation to be given through Elluminate to partners had to be deferred. This is to be rescheduled at the end of October. The presentation will show delegates how to use Social Networking tools eg Google Ads and Facebook as marketing tools. Have a meeting today – 6th October 2009 – with Brian Smithies, Director of Ulltra Skincare. He is using social networking tools to promote his shaving care range. The Ulltra website is being updated and will be launch by the end of October. New College are assisting this company with promoting the sales of the product by podcasting the product range and how to use it properly. More information will be available after this meeting.

Attended an online webinar about using Twitter and Social Media as a marketing tool. Did you know that you can search Tweets to extract any information about your company. These Tweets can be categorised as negative or positive Tweets and a process to take action can be applied. Also have students here who have developed similar programs to search Tweets to extract relevant data from Tweets to use for marketing information.
